Egypt signs oil exploration agreements with Australia, Chile

Egypt signed Tuesday two oil exploration agreements with Australian and Chilean companies, Egyptian Petroleum Minister Sameh Fahmi said.
Under the agreements, the two companies are to spend $ 11.3 million in investments to dig three wells within seven years, he added.
Exploration areas cover 5.768 square kilometers East of Ras Qattarah in the Western Desert, Fahmi said.
