More Iraqis children, women killed, occupation forces besieged Sameraa, hold its people
Iraq-USA, Military, 3/29/2004

The American occupation forces yesterday closed Sameraa city and started a large scale mopping up operation in it, using helicopters and armored vehicles following news on the killing of 6 American soldiers in it despite the fact that the occupation army admitted that only three were wounded.

This operation coincided with a similar operation in Falouja where violent clashes took place on Friday during which scores were killed or wounded among the Iraqis whereas one American soldier was killed and other 7 wounded. These all coincided with a series of acts of violence during the two past days during which 3 were killed and 40 wounded among the Iraqis by the American bullets.

Unidentified gunmen killed yesterday one British and one Canadian, working as personal guards for the foreign electricity engineers team from the American "General Electric" company, in Musil.

Hours later, gunmen attacked one American vehicle in the same area during a mopping up operation carried out by the occupation forces. The American army said that three American soldiers were wounded in the attack.

Police members in Musil said that minister of public works in the Iraqi government, Nasrin Brawri, yesterday survived an attack that resulted in killing three of her escorts to the eastern part of the city.

Also two civilian Iraqis were killed and other 14 wounded on Saturday when unidentified persons fired a missile shelling at the headquarters in Ninawa province in the city, according to the American army and Iraqi police.

However, hospitals sources said that the casualties are 4 killed and 19 wounded.

Five Iraqi civilians including three children were wounded on their way to schools when attackers blew up a bomb in one of Baqouba streets but it was not clear whether the explosive was targeting a policeman living in a neighboring house or the house of one Iraqi carpenter working with the American occupation forces.

In Karkouk, three Iraqi civilians were wounded when a bomb went off at the crossroad of a road where Iraqi policemen cars are parked. Gunmen on Saturday assassinated a high ranking police officer in the city. One American soldier was wounded by a booby trapped explosive in al-Adel quarters, to the west of Baghdad, and five Iraqi were wounded on Saturday when one explosive went off as one American military convoy was running in the downtown of Baghdad.

A three- year old Iraqi child was killed in Tikrit on Saturday because of his wounds of the American occupation forces when they opened fire at a sedan car and this resulted in wounding other 7 with all of them are women and children.
