Study resumed in al-Qamishli, two explosives defused Tlass: No tolerance with one who destabilizes
Syria, Politics, 3/29/2004

Normal life returned back to al-Hassake governorate at a time when two explosives were defused in a people's area in al-Qamishli city days after the return back of calm to its streets.

The bishop of the Orthodox Assyrian church in al-Hassaka, Matta Rohem, confirmed news of finding the two explosives and said they were defused, belittling their destructive power. Rohem said in press statements that the two explosives were found in a people s area near al-Qamishli municipality near Jaghjagh river bridge which links the two parts of the city.

He refused to hold certain side responsible for this matter, ruling out the alleged possibility that members of the Kurdistani Banked Labor party are responsible for the operation.

Meantime, Christian circles in al-Hassaka stressed that the first tourism delegation arrived in it of holders of the American nationality, despite the warnings launched by western embassies in Damascus for its citizens to avoid traveling to the Syrian al-Jazeera area.

For his part and during a ceremony for graduates of the Syrian military academy cadres, the Syrian minister of defense Lt. Gen. Mustafa Tlass said " no tolerance " for anyone who wants to destabilize Syria, blaming once again " Syrian members moved by foreign orders.. and damaging to our national unity which we are proud off." He added " certainly, there will be no forgiveness. I say clearly that there is no protection for any citizen except from his own country."
