Regional-USA, Politics, 3/29/2004
US President George W. Bush will meet successively in April the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon and the Jordanian King Abdullah II.
The White House announced the meeting with Sharon on April 14 in Washington and the American Presidency also confirmed that King Abdullah will be received at the White House on April 21st. Washington had announced by the beginning of March that Mubark will be received on April 12 at Bush's farm in Crawford, Texas.
Sharon's last visit to the White House was in July 29. In total, he paid ten visits since Bush assumed power by the beginning of 2001.
A statement by the American presidency said "it pleases President Bush to review bilateral issues with Prime minister Sharon including fighting terrorism and searching for a solution to the Israeli- Palestinian conflict." In the course of the visit of the Jordanian king, Bush will discuss the same issues as well as " economic cooperation " between the two countries.
