Syrian party official deplores Yassin's assassination

Assistant Regional Secretary General of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party, Sulaiman Qaddah, has described on Friday the Israeli aggressive policy as a state terrorism, the last of which the crime of assassinating Hamas Leader Sheikh Ahmad Yassin.

During a meeting with Chairman of the Afro-Asian Solidarity Committee, Murad Ghaleb, on Friday, Qaddah underlined Syria's firm stances towards a just and comprehensive peace and her call for the resumption of peace negotiations in line with the international legitimacy and the Security Council resolutions.

He also pointed out that Syria adopts dialogue as means for solving international problems.

For his part, Ghaleb stressed support to Syria's stances and rejection to campaigns of threats and indications imposed on the region, asserting the Organization's denunciation of the so-called Syria Accountability Act.
