Egypt-Israel, Politics, 3/26/2004
Gamal Mubarak, Egypt's National Democratic Party (NDP) Policies Committee chief said that the Israeli policy of targeted assassination has pushed the Middle East peace process to hit a dead end, noting that linking extremism to the less-developed regions is a negligence to the real reasons of extremism.
He told the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs that specific measures have to be taken to push the peace process forward, noting that the violence in the Palestinian territories, the situation in Iraq and the terrorist threats lead to disability in the region.
