Moroccan princess, Arab officials receives special olympics international prize

Moroccan princess Lalla Amina, Chairwoman of Morocco Special Olympics received here Wednesday the International special Olympics prize during a ceremony organized by Special Olympics Middle-East/North-Africa.
The prize was given to princess Lalla Amina in recognition of her contribution to the promotion of Special Olympics, her endless support for mentally disabled persons sport activities at the national and the international levels and her social and humanitarian actions.
Special Olympics Middle-East/North-Africa also paid tribute to Fatima Hassar, delegate chairwoman of Morocco Special Olympics.
chairman of special Olympics International Committee, Timothy Shriver, hailed the efforts exerted by Morocco Special Olympics under the leadership of princess Lalla Amina to the aim of promoting mentally disabled persons sport activities, underlining that the kingdom is an example that should be followed in this realm.
Several other figures and heads of Special Olympics in the Middle-East and North-Africa region were awarded during the ceremony, including Dubai Crown prince, Sheikh Mohamed Ben Rachad Al Makhtoum, Qatar Crown prince and Qatari Olympic Committee Chairman, Sheikh Tamim ben Hamad Al Khalifa Al Thani and honour chairman of Saudi Special Olympics, Prince Soltan Ben Fahd Ben Abdel Aziz.
