King Mohammed voices resolve for rehabilitation of quake-hit al hoceima, development of rif region

Morocco's King Mohammed VI voiced in al-Hoceima Thursday resolve to make the Rif region a "hub of urban and rural development in Northern Morocco" and to fully integrate it in the national economy.
"I have asked the government to undertake immediately the preparation of an integrated structural development plan for the rehabilitation of Al Hoceima and the development of the Rif region, for the medium as well as the long term," the king underlined in a speech delivered in Al Hoceima that was hit last month by a quake that claimed the lives of 629 people and left hundreds of homeless.
