Clashes in al-Falouja, missiles against the green area; Washington: the situation in Iraq is very dangerous
Iraq-USA, Military, 3/25/2004

Bloody clashes took place yesterday between the American occupation forces and Iraqi resistance men during which three Iraqis were killed and two American soldiers were wounded, while the green area and "Sheraton" hotel in Baghdad were exposed to two missile attacks.

Meantime, the US Department Of State warned its citizens that the security situation in Iraq is still "very dangerous." It added that the supporters of the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and "foreign terrorists" and the criminal elements are still active in this country.

The American army said that the resistance men in al-Falouja attacked one American vehicle yesterday and this resulted in clashes during which 3 Iraqi civilians were killed and two American soldiers were wounded. Witnesses said that a bomb was implanted on the main roadside in the city and went off when one American vehicle was running, the resistance men quickly opened their machinegun fires against it.

The occupation forces also said that resistance men fired their missile shelling yesterday at dawn at the "Sheraton" hotel in Baghdad and went off in the 6th floor of it and no casualties were reported. Worthy mentioning that several foreign contractors and journalists reside in this hotel which is protected by one American unit and is surrounded by cement barriers.
