Morocco organizes week-long Palestinian days
Morocco-Palestine, Politics, 3/23/2004
The Moroccan Association of support to the Palestinian people struggle (AMSLP) organizes from 22 to 30 March "Palestinian days in Morocco" under the theme "Palestine: a responsibility" in celebration of the earth day (30 mars).
The event includes cultural shows presented by Moroccan, Palestinian and European figures, most importantly Palestinian poet Samih Al Kacim.
Palestinian days will be highlighted by a lecture given by president of the Palestinian hydrologists association, Abderrahim Mohammed Al Imara, on economic, social, political and cultural problems resulting from the Israeli fence construction in West Bank. Two projections of a movie on the Israeli fence are programmed for March 25th and 28th in Tangier and Tetouan (northern Morocco).
Organizers also planned a "solidarity visit" to the Palestinian embassy and a sit-in in front of the United Nations delegation in Rabat to show solidarity with the Palestinian people.
