King Mohammed strongly condemns assassination of palestinian leader
Morocco-Palestine, Politics, 3/23/2004
Morocco's King Mohammed VI strongly condemned, in a message to the Palestinian president, the raids conducted by the Israeli army this Monday at predawn, killing Palestinian leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassine and other Palestinians.
The sovereign, who chairs the Al-Quds Ashareef Committee -an offshoot of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC)- strongly condemned the attack, a violation of 'all celestial religions, human values and international covenants.'
The royal message recalls that the Kingdom of Morocco has already expressed refusal of Tel Aviv's orientation to conduct "systematic brutal raids, and through the adoption of the logic of assassination and force to subdue the brotherly Palestinian people with its various constituents and institutions."
The sovereign further expressed "continued support and solidarity" with the Palestinian president and the Palestinian people.
