Court acquits Mayor of Fez
Morocco, Local, 3/19/2004
The First Instance Court of Fez (200 km south of Rabat) on Thursday acquitted the Mayor of the city, Hamid Chabat, as well as two civil servants.
The three men were prosecuted for violation of the electoral code procedure and attempt to purchase votes through the granting of land plots to members of a local association.
