Powell in Kuwait to make talks on Iraq and the Arab reforms
Kuwait-USA, Politics, 3/19/2004

The US secretary of state Colin Powell arrived in Kuwait, his first station in a Gulf tour during which he will also visit Saudi Arabia and discuss in it the situation in Iraq and the Middle East peace process and the American reform initiative in the Arab states.

One of Powell's aides said that the "US secretary of state will be meeting Kuwaiti and Saudi officials within the coming days." He added that Powell will discuss with them "huge number of issues including the current situation in Iraq, the Middle East peace process and reforms in the Arab world." Powell arrived in Kuwait after an Asian tour lasted for three days during which he had visited India, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The US Department Of State did not disclose the program of his visit after his stop in Pakistan for security reasons.
