Bahrain detains five who broke into alcohol selling restaurant

Bahrain's ministry of the interior said that the authorities detained five persons in the outskirts of Manama over making acts of riots represented in attacking houses for Asians and a restaurant where wines are sold.

The ministry's sources also reported that some 100 Islamists attacked a French restaurant for the same reasons and threatened the visitors of the restaurant by knives.

Witnesses said that 100 of the attackers threw on late Thursday evening explosives on the cars of the restaurants guests stationed near the restaurant which is close to the capital Manama and this resulted in burning several cars.

The owner of the restaurant Jahinshah Bakhtiar said that the attackers who were chanted " Allah Akbar ( God is Great) " and carrying restaurant's knives screamed in the face of the restaurants clients why do you take alcohol ?, while one client took off the knife of one attacked and stabbed him seriously. The Security forces which investigate the incident abstained from commenting. Bahrain, however, permits restaurants and night clubs of offering alcohol, recently witnesses acts of protests from certain Islamists in being a violation to the Islamic Sharia.
