Saudi Arabia announces the killing of al-Qaida official responsible for al-Kaleij operations
News reports quoted a Saudi Arabian security sources as saying that Khaled Ali al-Haj of the Yemeni nationality who was killed in a clash with the security men in the capital Riyadh is the responsible person for al-Qaida organization operations in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.

The American civil administrator of Iraq, Paul Premer, promised the Kurds, during his participation in a celebration of Halabja massacre anniversary that the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and his aides will be tried over the chemical attack which resulted in killing 5,000 persons in this city 16 years ago.
