Two minutes on TV for each electoral candidate; Algeria completes preparation for the elections

The Algerian prime minister Ahmad Yahya, chairman of the preliminary committee for the Presidential elections said that some 18 persons, are eligible to election on April 8, warning that the Algerian authorities will not permit threatening stability and security during the election process.

O Yahya indicated that the election committee is ready to organize the elections at the level of revising the election list or material preparations for the elections whose campaigns will start tomorrow, Thursday.

O Yahya reminded of amending the elections law which abrogated the special offices, which means that the security departments and the army will, cast their votes like other citizens in the common voting centers, while the number of mobile voting offices decreased from 7744 in the presidential elections of 1995 to 402 in the elections of 2004 where 176,000 voters will cast their votes.

He said that news on massive gathering for candidates will be covered by providing two minutes by the Algerian TV station to present their views.
