Kuwait-Iraq, Politics, 3/17/2004

The Kuwaiti attorney general Hamid al-Othman said in statements issued yesterday that Kuwait will call for the death penalty of the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein over crimes he had committed against Kuwait.

Al-Othman added in a statement to "Kuwait Times" that the Kuwaiti government prepared a long list of accusations supported by evidences against Saddam. He explained that the Kuwaiti Cabinet recently formed a committee chaired by the minister of Justice, Ahmad Yaqoub Baqer, to join the Kuwaiti appeal in trying Saddam.
