Gas producers meeting winds up

The fourth Ministerial Conference of Gas Producing Countries agreed on Monday on the Egyptian suggestion to set up an executive office for the forum.
According to the final communique of the conference, the office will meet twice per year and will be charged with studying all suggestions submitted by gas producing countries.
The fourth conference started meetings on Sunday under the chairmanship of Petroleum Minister Sameh Fahmi and with the participation of representatives of 15 countries. The conference looked into a number of reports, including an Egyptian one on pricing natural gas.
The fifth conference is due in Trindad and Tobago in March 2005. A number of the participating delegations visited the control centre of the natural gas network at the natural gas company, Gasco. The national gas network extends to 5000 kms, said Gasco Chairman.
