Al-Assad confers with GCC chief

In separate meetings President Bashar al-Assad received on Monday Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Rahman Attiyah on prospects of cooperation between Syria and the GCC in the economic, trade, and investment fields, particularly the establishment of a trade free zone between the Syria and the GCC.
Also, Minister of Economy and Trade Ghassan al-Refai met Attiyah and stressed the deep and strong relations between Syria the Arab Gulf states, asserting the necessity of boosting them in all domains.
