Syria- UNDP banking co-operation maintained

Syria and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on Monday signed a document project to support the Central Bank of Syria.
SANA noted the signatory came in the framework of cooperation between Syria and the UNDP's program for the current session of 2002-2006.
The document signed by chairman of Planning State Board, Abdullah al-Dardari, Central Bank governor, Bashar Kabbara and Permanent Representative of United Nations for Development Program Ali- al-Zaatari.
The granting assistance reached to 200,000 Dollars and is aimed at creating a valuable bank experience for the banking sector as well as qualifying cadres for general banks in Syria during the project period of 15 months.
