Syrian citizens in Brussles protest against attacking embassy

Hundreds of Syrian and Arab citizens in Brussels on Sunday evening gathered in front of the Syrian embassy in the Belgian capital to protest recent events against it and solidify and express loyalty to Syria as a state and leadership.

Syrian ambassador in Brussels, Tawfiq Salloum, told SANA correspondent this gathering was a real expression of the Syrian people's reality.

"It asserts that opinion should be voiced in a civilized and acceptable way," he said noting at the same time to the national unity that distinguishes the Syrian people.

Lebanese ambassador in Brussels announced solidarity with Syria and many Syrians taking part at the gathering stressed the significance of national unity in Syria.
