Al-Ibraheimi: Annan will attend the Arab summit in Tunisia

The special envoy for the UN secretary general Kofi Annan, al-Akhdar al-Ibraheimi announced yesterday in Cairo that Annan will attend the forthcoming Arab summit due to be held in Tunisia this month.

The Al-Ibraheimi announcement came at the end of his meeting with the secretary general of the Arab league AL Amr Moussa in Cairo. A- Ibraheimi said " there is an agreement between the Arab league and the UN on the importance of Iraq's restoring back its people's sovereignty on its lands and resources and the establishment of a government of full authority to run Iraq. He said that the "AL and the UN are in continuous contacts with the Iraqi sides to know their views. A matter which can not be ignored. "
