On Muscat's Islamic Philology Assembly Statement
Regional-Oman, Politics, 3/13/2004

The Islamic Philology Assembly called upon the international community to stop the Israeli terrorism and massacres perpetrated against the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian lands.

In its recommendations issued during the meetings of its 15th session on Thursday in Muscat, the Assembly asserted that the Israeli segregation apartheid wall being established in the West Bank "violates the heavenly religions and the international conventions." Participants called on the international community to bear its responsibilities towards stopping the "Zionist terrorism" and protecting the Palestinians.

The Assembly also stressed support to Iraq to restore its sovereignty and insure the Iraqi people's rights, calling on the Iraqis to unify ranks to face the eminent danger and to perform his role on the regional and the international levels.
