Maher: Some big powers fail to marginalize UN's role

Egypt's Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher said that Iraq provided proof that attempts by some major powers to marginalize the United Nations (UN) or to use it as an instrument towards the attainment of their own policy goals have gone in vain.
Now these same players were forced to resort to the UN for help, he told the opening session of a model UN conference organized by the American University in Cairo's Department of Political Science.
