Renowned Lebanese musician, Poet died at 88

Renowned Lebanese musician and poet Zaki Nasif died yesterday at 88 year old ( b. in 1916 ) following a life span commitment in the service of the Lebanese poetical art and folk music creativity, as an outstanding creator. He left behind a treasure for the Lebanese musical heritage and hundreds of songs and musical pieces. He was one of the five prominent musicians in the history of the Lebanese music: Tawfiq al-Basha, the two al-Rahbani bothers( Ziad and Assi) and Sabri al-Sharif.
