Some 25 Algerian Islamists killed in confrontations with Chad's army

A source close to Chad's army announced the killing of some 25 armed Algerians, members in the "al-Salafeyah group for call and fighting", and four soldiers from Chad in fighting with Chad's army that started on Monday and ended Wednesday.
A group including 50 members of "al-Salafeyah group for Call and Fighting" armed with weapons sneaked on Monday from Niger to Chad.
Chad's national radio announced that the American government congratulated Njamina over its commitment to fighting terrorism.
In a message the President of Chad had received, currently visiting Washington, and broadcast by the national radio, the American government expressed its congratulations and thanks to Chad over fighting terrorism. A source close to the government of Chad said that the armed group entered the lands of Chad in 6 armored vehicles on the board of each one machinegun. The group which was originally coming from Mali "was chased."
The same sources explained that the same group which includes " 60 members " attacked on February 22 a procession including 6 French tourists in Niger desert and took their cars.
In Mali's capital Bamako, a diplomat said that those " chased" Algerians everywhere " had left northern Mali where they held for several months some 30 European tourists.
Diplomatic and military sources in Bamako said on Wednesday that the second man in the al-Salafeyah group for fighting and the call Abdul Razzaq al-Bara took part in the fighting in Tibesti to the north of Chad.
