Saudi Arabia reconsider its learning curricula on al-Nasara ( Christians ) and the Jews
Saudi Arabia, Politics, 3/11/2004

"The Saudi Institute," a non- governmental organization concerned with defending human rights said yesterday that Saudi Arabia formed a governmental committee to consider the existence of likely hostile signals towards Christian and Jews in its learning curricula or at the official Internet websites.

The Institute which introduces itself as independent and has Washington as a headquarters, said that information to this effect is based on a message signed by the Saudi minister of information Fouad al-Fareisi. He added in a statement that the message which is dated February 21, 2004 refers to a message from the minister of Islamic affairs, Islamic trusts and call Saleh Bin Abdul Aziz al-Sheikh relating to this committee which will re-consider books and curricula which distort the image of Christians and the Jews."
