Syria - Iraqi joint shipping company established

Syria and Iraq on Tuesday set to sail the first built ship by the Syrian- Iraqi Joint Shipping Company with a load of 8500 Tones.
Minister of Transport Mukaram Obeid in a statement to SANA hoped this step would pose as a successful beginning for the company to develop and upgrade its Naval Shipping in each of Syria and Iraq.
Hajar, the first of the company ships, has been recently built to be officially inaugurated at the Syrian port of Tartous, about 400 KM. North West Damascus.
