Ben Ali stresses the role of woman in the political life

The Tunisian President Zine al-Abidin Ben Ali has stressed his care that the "Tunisian woman will continue to be the driving force in perpetuating values of tolerance, solidarity and human rights and enhancing principles of justice and equality side by side with man so as the Tunisian experience in this regard to be an example to be followed in the regional and international arenas."

In a message he had addressed to the chairperson of the national federation of the Tunisian woman on the occasion of the Woman's world day he urged the "Tunisian Woman to continue practicing her right and carry out her duties and effectively contribute to providing a success for the future political activities, on the ground that the Tunisian woman is a strong advocate for the society of modernization and progress and an active element in enriching the associational fabrics and support for the democratic track."
