Occupation forces admit assassination of three Hamas members; Palestinian resistance confronts Israeli incursion in Jenin
Palestine-Israel, Military, 3/4/2004

News reports in Jenin said that armed conflicts are taking place since early morning today in Jenin camp between Palestinian fighters from al-Aqsa martyrs groups and units of the Israeli occupation forces which incurred in the camp for the second running day.

The news reports added that some 15 Israeli vehicles sneaked from the western and southern sides of the camp in search for what it called "wanted" but were challenged by violent resistance.

Meantime, Palestinian medical sources said that one Palestinian was killed and other 10 wounded in a vague explosion inside Bsheit quarters in Rafah camp to the south of Gaza.

On the other hand, Israel admitted the assassination of three members of Ezz Eddine al-Qassam group, the military wing of the Hamas movement in an air raid that targeted their car in Gaza on Wednesday.

The Israeli army statement said that Hamas activists were targeted in a missile attack near Natsareim settlement to the south of Gaza. The statement alleged that the three men are involved in several attacks against Israeli targets and planning for more attacks.

Sources in Hamas said that the three men are Ammar Hassan ( 25 year old), Ibrahim al-Deiri ( 38 year old), and Tarrad al-Jamali ( 24 year old). Hundreds of Palestinians gathered near al-Shefaa hospital in Gaza and chanted slogans calling for revenge, while Palestinian medical sources stressed that several passersby were injured in the area of the attack.

In a statement, al-Qassam group vowed that its answer to the Israeli operation will be soon and painful in the heart of Israel.

In a statement, the leading figure in the Hamas movement Abdul Aziz al-Ranteisi said that "Zionists will pay a heavy price for what the leaders of their gangs commit." He stressed that the military option is the only option to liberate the Palestinian people and restore back their rights.

The Palestinian prime minister Ahmad Qurei' also condemned the attack. He said the objective of the Israeli government is to kill any attempt to bring back calm and revive the peace process.
