New Israeli occupation forces hostilities against the Syrians of the Golan
Syria-Israel, Politics, 3/4/2004
Israeli occupation troops raided lands of the Syrian Arab citizens in several areas in the occupied Golan on Wednesday morning, uprooting fruit trees as part of the hostile policy pursued by the occupiers against the people and lands of the Golan.
Israeli military bulldozers uprooted more than 1800 fruit trees of all kinds in lands owned by Syrian Arab citizens in Majdal Shams town, along with many hundred-years-old olive trees in Jbata al-Zeit, a village destroyed by Israeli occupation forces and on which an Israeli settlement called Nvi Atif was built.
Political, social and religious activities in the villages of the occupied Syrian Golan called on the people in the occupied Golan to declare Friday a day for the defence of the land and challenge against the occupation authorities through the re-plantation of the land and defending it with human shields.
The Syrian political activities in the occupied land stressed necessity of confronting the campaign launched by the occupation authorities which aims at confiscating lands of the Syrian citizens.
