Svoboda supports Syria's joining the EU

Czech Foreign Minister Cyril Svoboda stressed his country's support to signing the Syrian-European Association. In a statement on Monday, Svoboda asserted that his talks in Syria and Lebanon were fruitful and frank, pointing out that they dealt with the situation in Iraq and the Middle East and means of boosting bilateral relations.
" The Middle East is going to be one of the priorities on which Czech Republic will concentrate within the framework of the European united foreign policy following our country's joining the EU next May," he added.
