Syrian- Lebanese oil, gas cooperation talks

Official talks session of the joint Lebanese-Syrian ministerial committee for Oil and Gas was held on Sunday and chaired by Syria's Oil and Mineral Recourses Minister, Ibrahim Haddad, and Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water, Aiyoub Hamed.
Haddad stressed the importance of the talks which come as an outcome of the efforts exerted by the joint committee to reach an economic integration between the two countries.
He pointed out to the role the Lebanese-Syrian Higher Council plays in pursuing the directives which are based on the cooperation accords which link Syria and Lebanon.
Hamed, for his part, referred to the historical ties between Syria and Lebanon stressing the importance of taking joint resolutions and putting them effective in the interests of the two peoples.
Both sides discussed the measures and the necessary plans to deal with the accord of "Good Intensions" signed in Rome for the Arab Gas line.
