Forum of Arab Thought names new secretary general

Iraqi diplomat, Wissam Chaoukat Azzahaoui, was named in Amman Thursday new secretary general of the Forum of Arab Thought, chaired by Prince Al Hassan Bin Talal of Jordan.
Azzahaoui, who replaces Abdelmalek Youssef Alhomr, will take the position early May for a three-year period.
He had been serving as Iraqi ambassador to Vatican and the UN.
