Drug lord case: temporary release granted to one individual

The Special court of justice granted Wednesday temporary release to one defendant, A.K, sued in the case of drug lord Mounir Erramach.
The tribunal had earlier granted temporary release to 14 persons, including police officers, a magistrate and a businessman.
Erramach group includes 32 individuals who are facing charges of criminal association, power abuse, corruption, public funds embezzlement, international drug trafficking, non-denunciation, divulging of professional secrets, premeditated homicide attempt and unlicensed possession of firearms.
The court has been investigation for three months with the 32 members of the group, including Erramach, 29.
Erramach and 17 others were arrested last summer after a dispute broke out between two rival groups in the northern city of Tetouan.
Investigations showed that Erramach had established dubious relations with senior officials in the region to facilitate his illegal activities.
