Egypt and Saudi Arabia underlines the importance of ME

Egypt and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday stressed the necessity for resuming peace negotiations on the Syrian and Palestinian tracks in order to achieved a complete settlement that contributes to easing the tension in the region.

In a final statement following talks held by President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt with Saudi King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz and Saudi Crown Prince, Abdullah, each separately, both countries underlined the importance of activating the Arab peace initiative of Beirut summit.

The statement said that talks dealt with the regional and international issues, Arab and Islamic issues, urging the Arab states to go ahead in the development and reform processes according to their own interests and needs of their peoples.
