Al-Habash confers with US Bishop

Director of the Center of Islamic Studies, Mohammed al-Habash, received in Damascus on Tuesday delegation of the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A headed by Bishop Clifton Kirkpatrick. Al-Habash stressed that Syria is the cradle of civilizations and the land of the Holy religions and a distinguished example of the religious fraternity in the world.

For his part, Kirkpatrick expressed appreciation over the relations of friendship and fraternity between the two Presbyterian Churches in Syria and the U.S., asserting support to the Palestinian people in restoration of their legitimate rights in establishing their independent state as well as the realization of just and comprehensive peace in the region.
