Japanese Foreign Minister underlines Syria's ME role

Japanese Foreign Affairs Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi on Monday stressed the important and pivotal role Syria plays in the peace and stability process in the Middle East. During a meeting between Kawaguchi and Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Issa Darwish, who handed her a letter from Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara, talks tackled the peace process in the Middle East, the situation in Iraq and bilateral relations.
