Shalqam invites Mubarak to the African federation summit

The secretary of the people's committee for foreign relations in Libya ( the foreign minister) Abdul Rahman Shalqam announced he had handed over the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak an invitation to take part in the African federation summit which will be held in Libya on February 27 and 28.
Shalqam explained to journalists in Cairo following his meeting with Mubarak that he had handed over the Egyptian President an invitation from col. Muammar al-Qathafi to attend the African summit due to be held in Libya in order to discuss the issues of water, agriculture, security and defense in Africa. He added that the meeting dealt also with "means of developing relations between the two countries and the situation in the Arab region, especially in Palestine."
