Arab Bar Association meeting call for ending American occupation of Iraq

The participants in the 2 -day international and Arab Bar Association Conference, held in Kuwait on Tuesday, called for ending the American occupation of Iraq as soon as possible, and transferring the power to Iraqis in order to govern and run their own affairs, and preserve their territorial integrity.
In a final statement on Tuesday, the participants stressed the necessity for electing an Iraqi legitimate government that represents Iraqis, and putting a constitution that preserves Iraq's unity and affirms its Arab and Islamic identity.
They urged the US occupying troops to abide by Geneva Convention for the year 1949, and UN related resolutions which call the occupying troops to respect the rights of the people under occupation.
