Hizbullah vows to retaliate any Israeli violations
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 2/16/2004

The secretary general of the Hizbullah Shiite party in Lebanon Sheikh Hassan Nasrullah threatened to retaliate as from now on any Israeli violations of the Lebanese sovereignty by land, sea or air.

In a meeting in Jibsheit in south Lebanon, Nasrullah threatened any Israeli soldier whose feet walk on the Lebanese territories to bear the consequences of his act. He added "we are on the ground able and ready and we will do that to protect the sovereignty of our people if they infiltrate the international borders at the blue line and at the Shebaa farms. A land which we permit not any violation to it."

He stressed the right of the Hizbullah party to implant ambushes and mines in the Lebanese sides of the borders with Israel, or the blue lines drawn by the UN to form the borders between the two countries following Israel's withdrawal from South Lebanon in May 2000 following 22 years of occupation.
