Damascus Arab Labor conference deliberations in labor movement

The 31st session of the Arab Labor Conference will be held tomorrow in Damascus. Arab Labor and Social Affairs Ministers from 19 Arab states, different organizations and unions will take part in the one - week conference.

The General Director of the Arab Work Organization Ibrahim Queder told SANA reporter, on Thursday, that the current session of the conference is being held amid sensitive and crucial conditions in the region as a result of the US occupation of Iraq and the deteriorating situation in Palestinian occupied territories.

" This situation resulted in negative effects on the economic sector in those countries ( Iraq and Palestine ), especially in the field of unemployment which reached very dangerous levels," he said.

He added that the conference will discuss the announcement of the principles of Arab labors freedom of movement, the support and rehabilitation of Arab labor paving the way for the achievement of an economic Arab integration.
