Lebanese Islamic Council for continued resistance to attain liberation; Syria is the castle of the Arabs
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 2/12/2004

The Supreme Islamic Religious Council in Lebanon stressed that resisting the Israeli enemy is the only way for restoring the usurped rights.

In a statement issued in Beirut on Wednesday, the council praised the brave National Resistance, and congratulated it over releasing the captives and arrested from the Israeli prisons.

"Events have proved that Syria is the steadfast castle of Lebanon and Arab, and Arab should stand by Syria to defend the Arab rights," the council said.

It pointed out that Israel, which continues its aggressions on the Palestinian and Lebanese people, rejects to abide by the resolutions of international resolutions and continues its threats against Syria and Lebanon.
