Syrian cabinet meets on regional developments, internal issues

The Cabinet discussed Tuesday many draft decisions and decrees during a meeting chaired by Premier Naji Otari.

Otari talked about King Abdullah II of Jordan's visit to Syria, stressing the importance of the discussions he held with President Bashar al-Assad. He also asserted the importance of boosting coordination and cooperation between the two states' institutions to develop the bilateral cooperation between the two states in all domains.

Otari also called for preparing for the meetings of the Syrian-Iranian and the Syrian-Tunisian Higher Committees scheduled to be held this month.

He asserted the importance of cooperation and interaction between the legislative and the executive authorities in a way to serve improved work, to develop the performance and to carry out the economic, developmental and administrative programs.
