Morocco, Libya probe civil aviation, judicial cooperation

Director general of Morocco's national office of airports, Abdelhanin Benallou, examined in Tripoli Friday with Libyan officials means to foster bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation.
In a statement to MAP following preparatory meetings of the Moroccan-Libyan high joint commission, Benallou said he examined with director of Libyan civil aviation department, Mohammed Chlibak, possibilities to develop bilateral cooperation in aviation-related training.
The Moroccan executive said the Mohammed VI international academy of aviation will put its expertise at the service of the Libyan party adding that a Libyan delegation will visit the academy for a training program.
Director of Morocco's jails and reintegration administration, Mustapha Meddah, also met Libyan peers over the renewal of the bilateral agreement of 1962.
Meddah told MAP it was decided that meetings will be held regularly to examine proposals on cooperation in civil and penal fields, and criminals transfer.
The Libyan party suggested that Moroccan convicts be transferred to Morocco in application of the 1998 accord.
The Moroccan-Libyan high joint commission will hold Feb.7-8 its 6th session in the presence of a Moroccan delegation comprising ministers and representatives of public and private enterprises.
