Moroccan expats remittances rise by 7.4% in 2003

Remittances by Moroccans living abroad reached 34.06 billion DH (US$1=around 9 DH) by end of 2003, marking a 7.4% increase compared to 2002, when the amount of money transferred by expatriates was estimated at 31.71 billion DH.
Compared to the average recorded in the 1998-2002 period, the amount of remittances increases by 31.2%.
