Mubarak: Arab summit to be held in March in Tunisia, collective efforts are needed
Egypt-Regional, Politics, 2/2/2004
Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak has stressed that the next Arab summit will be held in Tunisia in March, stressing the need that Arab states will agree on the issues to be debated at the summit and to be discussed by the council of the Arab foreign ministers before the convening of this summit.
In statements to the Egyptian TV, the Egyptian President called for collective Arab efforts in order to achieve the supreme Arab interests. He added "if every one of us work just for himself, a positive result will not be attained."
Replying to a question on the international and American move, in particular concerning the ME peace process, Mubarak indicated that the American move at the meantime is limited due to the American preoccupation of the presidential elections which will be held by the end of the current year, noting the efforts from the side of Europe.
