Support to the environment and civil society in Lebanon

Solid Waste Management at local level will be improved in Lebanon under a 10.2 million euro protocol signed recently by the Lebanese authorities and the European Commission Delegation in Beirut. Projects will have to be put forward by local authorities or municipality groupings to receive EU support. All types of solid waste (domestic, agricultural, industrial, etc.) and all stages of the management cycle, from collecting to processing or recycling, may benefit.
