Syria welcomes the expected visit of Jordanian King Abdullah to Damascus

A phone call was made Friday afternoon between Syria's Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara and his Jordanian counterpart Marwan Muasher. Al-Shara welcomed the expected visit of King Abdullah II of Jordan to Damascus "to consult with his brother President Bashar al-Assad on the latest developments in the region."
Talks also dealt with the forthcoming meeting of Iraq's neighbor countries scheduled in Kuwait.
