Berri meets with the Iraqi Interim governing council delegation

Speaker of the Lebanese parliament Nabih Berri called for maintaining Iraq's unity, saying there is no doubt that the Iraqi people belong to the Arab nation.
Berri, speaking in a meeting with a delegation from the Iraqi Interim Governing Council in Beirut, said his country is keen that Iraq maintains its adherance to the Arab Nation. The Lebanese official called for transferring power to the Iraqi people so that the country could retain its independence and natural role as soon as possible.
